Music For Relief

Music for Relief is a project headed by the punk rock band Linkin Park, which happens to be my favortie band eva! Together they are helping rebuild houses, communities, and education programs that have been destroyed by massive natural disators, like hurricanes, droughts, and floods; all by-products of Global Warming. Of course the band (Chester, Mike, Joe, Brad, Pheonix, and Rob) can’t do this alone. Vollenteers from all over have come to assist them, weather they are from around the nighborhood, or have followed the band for quite a while. Here is a paragraph I have taken from the site:

To respond to natural disasters and help victims recover and rebuild with an emphasis on housing, education programs and resources. MUSIC FOR RELIEF also recognizes the environmental consequences of global warming, which has demonstrated the capability to accelerate and strengthen certain types of natural disasters. Therefore the second goal of MUSIC FOR RELIEF is to prevent and decrease future natural disasters by reducing greenhouse gasses, seeking renewable forms of energy and educating the public about climate change

Linkin Park has a website for this organization which i will provide for you at the end of this post.
On this website you can check out some awesome pictures of the band themselves putting up walls for new families to have as a place to call home. Many fantasic shots have been taken of the enviornment around the destroyed areas too, most are before pictures and I have yet to see some after pics (even though I have only looked through the first 20 out of who-knows).
Linkin Park is bound to reduce carbon emissions, re-build what has been destroyed, and make our future better. And to that I solute them. We should alll follow their example and assist those in need, plant more trees, use less presious fuel, and be “green”.
